For adults new to HIV-1 treatment or replacing their current HIV-1 medicine. See Full Indication.

DISCOVER DOVATO

What is DOVATO and why is it different?

DOVATO is the only HIV medicine with just 2 medicines in 1 pill that delivers powerful results* for people who are new to treatment and those who are replacing their current regimen. It’s proven as effective as an HIV treatment with 3 or 4 medicines.

DOVATO is a once-a-day complete treatment for adults. Take DOVATO exactly as your healthcare provider tells you.

Results may vary.

*Based on data from the GEMINI-1 & -2 studies (patients new to treatment) and TANGO study (patients replacing their current HIV treatment). DOVATO was compared to a regimen containing either 3 or 4 medicines, measuring either the percentage of patients with an undetectable viral load (<50 copies/mL) or the percentage of patients without an undetectable viral load (≥50 copies/mL).

GEMINI: Dolutegravir + tenofovir disoproxil fumarate/emtricitabine.

TANGO: Tenofovir alafenamide-based 3- or 4-drug regimen.

How fast does DOVATO work?

To find out how quickly DOVATO gets patients who are new to treatment to undetectable,* see the studies below.

*Undetectable means reducing HIV in the blood to very low levels (less than 50 copies per mL).

What do the experts
say for patients new
to therapy?

DOVATO is now recommended as an initial regimen for most people* with HIV-1 by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

*Certain exceptions to this recommendation exist. DOVATO is not the only HIV-1 regimen recommended by DHHS. Ask your doctor if DOVATO may be right for you.

If you are new to treatment or considering switching treatment, DOVATO is clinically proven to be as effective as a regimen containing 3 or 4 medicines. See details below.

NEW TO HIV TREATMENT? REACH AND STAY
UNDETECTABLE*

In the GEMINI studies, DOVATO was proven to help people new to treatment reach and stay undetectable as effectively as a regimen containing 3 medicines. Results may vary.

About 9 out of 10 patients (91%) taking DOVATO reached undetectable at 48 weeks and 86% remained undetectable at 96 weeks.

About 9 out of 10 patients (93%) taking a 3-drug regimen reached undetectable at 48 weeks and 90% remained undetectable at 96 weeks.

HIV TREATMENT?
STAY UNDETECTABLE

In the TANGO study of undetectable adults, DOVATO was proven to help people already on treatment stay undetectable as effectively as an HIV regimen containing 3 or 4 medicines.*

  • Percentage of patients without an undetectable viral load ≥50 copies/mL: <1% for both patients taking DOVATO or a 3- or 4-drug regimen.
    • 93% of people taking DOVATO remained undetectable at 48 weeks.
    • 93% of people on a 3- or 4-drug regimen* remained undetectable at 48 weeks.
